Reference 'Section 14 - Transport Information' of your Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

1. Transport Mode

Select 49 CFR (Road/Rail), Air, or Ocean. Click the mode icon to switch regulatory data sets.

2. UN Identification Number

The 4 digit UN Identification Number found in Section 14: Transportation Information goes here. Example: 1824

3. Select Material

Click the row that best matches the Proper Shipping Name and Packing Group, if applicable. Reference Section 14.

3a. Technical Names

If the entry has a symbol 'G' then you must include additional information. Reference Section 14: Transportation Information of the SDS.

4. Determine Amount

How much product are you shipping? Is it a box or a rail car? This is based on the amount of product being shipped and the desired mode of transportation.

4a. Validate TN

If your material required a technical name then we validate the RQ or MP. If RQ or MP then this can change the marking, labeling, and wording on shipping papers. To avoid these mistakes, Hazmatica does the compliance checks for you.

4b. Validate RQ

Hazardous substances can chance the markings and labeling as well as shipping papers. Hazmatica ensures Marine Pollutants & Environmentally Hazardous Substances are validated as well.

5. Type of Package

It's time to narrow down our packaging choices. The available choices vary based on the amount of product being shipped. For this example, we're shipping a small box. So this screen is where we select between single or combination packaging.

6. Select Packaging

Thumbnails provide a glimpse of the outer packaging. The available and appropriate packaging is ready for selection.

7. View Packaging

The screen you have been waiting for. This is also the screen where most of your time will be spent. To interact with the model just click and move. Zoom in and out with the mouse wheel.

Click to view special provisions, labeling, specification marking, Overpacks, Placarding Vehicles,
and Print Labeling.

8. Save a Package

Copy the shipping string into your shipping paper program or use ours.

Completed Pkgs

Every package that you create can be saved and viewed at any time.

Create shipping papers for Road (bill of lading), Air, and Ocean (dangerous goods declarations). Carrier specific templates like Air Waybills are provided as examples for Air Excepted Quantities. Don't see a template you need? Just let us know. It's that easy.

1. Consignee

This is the location and recipient of the shipment. Where are you shipping To:

This is the shipper. Who is shipping the package? Where are you shipping From: 

3. Carriers

This is who will be transporting the package for the shipper or consignor. This can be the postal service or another domestic carrier like John Smith's Cartage.

4. Third Party Billing

The third party can be added to Ground shipments using the bill of lading template only.

5. Shipments

This is where the magic happens! Select the Consignee (To), Consignor (From), Carrier, and Primary Package, and Hazmatica determines the shipping paper template for you!
